Hello and thanks again for visiting, "ChooseInsanity.com".
What can I say, Howard County, Maryland is a great place to live, work and raise a family. Having lived in the county for 35 years, it's difficult to forget and leave behind. Additionally, you cannot find a better area, located between Baltimore and Washington. For seven years, I commuted within Howard County to my job. It was a small commute, only 4.5 miles along the back-roads. On those terrible weather days, I'd laugh and smile as I crossed over snarled Route 95 Southbound traffic, just knowing it was backed up to the Capital Beltway! To pass the time of my short commute home from work, I'd often count the number of mini-vans I'd see driving along the road. 14, was my record. I could have counted the other 15-20 stationed at the local pool but that wouldn't have been fair.
Well, all that's changed now. Still working in Howard County, but now commute 11 miles from Anne Arundel County. Wanted to buy a house in Howard but couldn't afford the insane house prices, only to be complimented by the insanely high taxes. Each weekday morning, I find myself on Route 32 doing about 70, to avoid being run off the road, insane. In fact, I was passed by a car doing 70+ with one of those, "Choose Civility" stickers adhered to the back. Hmm, the car must have been stolen?
Anyway, you could probably say I'm just a little jealous of my former county? Hopefully, I can return some day and raise my family. Until then, its time to have some fun! In short, you have to applaud the, "Choose Civility" initiative. However, nobody is perfect and some times it's just easier to, "Choose Insanity"!
